Elizabeth Miller was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where she still resides. With a passion for words and love of storytelling, Elizabeth applied her interests at an early age writing her own fairy tales and poems.
She served as both reporter and editor for her high school and college newspapers. Elizabeth graduated from Ursuline Academy and went on to earn a B.A. in English with a concentration in professional writing from Fontbonne University.
Next, she studied copywriting with the American Artists and Writers Institute and went on to become a partner and writing director for Innovative Writing Works (IWW), a freelance writing company. In July 2016, IWW celebrated its tenth anniversary and now focuses primarily on marketing Elizabeth's books.
A fan of historical fiction and westerns, Elizabeth writes the type of stories she would like to read and tries to reflect her interest in nature and strong foundation in faith in her work. She has penned several novels including the Copper Creek and Pinkerton Detective Series as well as two nonfiction books, “The Reel Musical Fan’s Trivia Book” and “The Ultimate Party Games Book”.
When she isn’t writing, Elizabeth likes to watch old movies and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
Writing books has been a lifelong dream which, until recently, I never realized could be such hard work. Though creating the people and places in my stories has been an exhilarating process, knowing I am at last sharing my stories with you is even more satisfying.
I so appreciate your interest in my work and hope, most sincerely, that you will enjoy the time you spend in the worlds I've created with my pen. If any part of my stories touches your heart, makes you forget your cares, or inspires your dreams, my purpose as an author has been fulfilled. I wrote all of my books with the hope they could do some small good, if just in keeping my readers company when they need a friend.
None of my stories would have come to life were it not for the many the individuals who have supported me in my ambitions to write including my family, teachers and fellow writers. I am immensely grateful for their encouraging words, helpful instruction, expert skills and creative suggestions. But I am most thankful to you, my readers, for trusting me with your time and giving my humble efforts a place on your bookshelf.
It is an awesome thing to enrich another's soul with a story. Above all, that is what I have striven to accomplish. Whether I have succeeded or not is up to you, but in any event, I thank you for giving me the opportunity to try.
